A WORD FROM YOUR CO-BOOSHWAY, MICHAEL WOODMAN BRISCOE:

I talked with the Divide District Ranger today. We have a special use permit to set the Range on National Forest Land next to the Soward Ranch. Under our special use permit the Ranger accepted my mitigation plan for the range. WE CAN SHOOT AT RENDEZVOUS. We can have charcoal in Braziers and Bridger boxes, along with propane stoves and propane campfires. If you have an enclosed stove with a 1/4 inch spark arrestor you can have a fire in it. Enclosed candle lanterns are acceptable.

The Mineral County Fire Restrictions  mirror the National Forest Restrictions in what is acceptable. This is where it's at right now according to my discussions in Creede with officials there. There are no plans to change the status to a Stage 2 restrictions in the Rio Grande Forest or in Mineral County.

Thanks, Woodman

ALTITUDE: We are going to be at approximately 9000 feet, so for those of you who have difficulty with altitude, you might want to check online to see if there is anything you can do to be more comfortable before and when you get there. You will need to acclimate

Rocky Mountain National Rendezvous 2018 welcomes everybody across the world and invites everyone to come and experience a primitive rendezvous in the Rocky Mountains. Come enjoy yourselves, play, laugh, tell stories, trade and re-create the history of the Fur Trade. We look forward to seeing all of our old friends and meeting new ones.

Colorado is hosting this year's RMNR on the historic Soward Ranch near Creede, Colorado.

We have a full slate of events planned with lots of prizes for competitions, raffle items and seminars. There are many volunteers helping to make this a great rendezvous. If you can help us, please SIGN UP AT THE GATE. We especially need volunteers on the ranges. Our goal is to be safe and make sure everyone has fun!

From your Co-Booshways, Michael "Woodman" Briscoe and Taylor Tomlin and the Staff

We are now accepting (begging for) pre-registrations. Please send them as soon as possible.

Hello from your trade chief!!
